Edo Japan Opens the Doors to 30th Calgary Restaurant

Edo Japan opened the doors to its 30th Calgary restaurant, situated on the 36th Street N.E. Marlborough Mall pad site, today at 10 a.m.

Known for its signature dishes’, including Sukiyaki Beef and Teriyaki Chicken, Edo Japan is dedicated to serving customers fresh, healthy meals made with simply better ingredients. The popular fast-casual restaurant serves more than eight million meals annually and the new location will mark the 76th restaurant in Alberta, totalling 108 locations across Canada.

The new restaurant is especially momentous for franchisee Geoffrey Nguyen who began his career with Edo Japan over 20 years ago. After numerous years of working in the Edo Japan corporate offices, Nguyen ventured off to open his first food court location at Marlborough Mall. His second location, situated just down the parking lot at the new Marlborough Mall pad site, will offer customers a casual dining atmosphere to enjoy their favorite Edo Japan dishes.

“I have worked closely with the Edo Japan brand for more than 20 years and have witnessed the success of the company firsthand,” said Nguyen. “Edo Japan’s popularity continues to grow and it was an easy decision to expand my Edo Japan restaurant portfolio by opening a second location.”

“The growth and success of Edo Japan can be attributed to the commitment and dedication of our franchisees,” said Tom Donaldson, President and CEO. “As we continue to expand we look forward to establishing a presence in the neighborhoods where we reside and sharing our love for Simply Better food.”

The popular street front restaurants offer customers a fast casual dining atmosphere, completed by fresh and affordable menu selections including yakisoba noodles, Udon Soup, fresh sushi and other delectable creations.

The restaurant is located at #110, 428 – 36th Street N.E. For more information, please visit http://www.edojapan.com.
