Q. How do I apply for a franchise?
Simply complete the Application Form provided on this web site, and submit it to us. Following your submission, an Edo Japan representative will contact you within 5 business days to begin the qualification process.
Q. What does it take to qualify in becoming an Edo Japan Franchise Partner?
Experience in the restaurant or retail industry is an asset, though not required. Our experience reveals that owner operators who exhibit a love for our food and customers, and the ability to recruit, motivate and retain employees are the most successful.
Q. How much does it cost to open an Edo Japan franchise?
The combined costs associated with opening an Edo Franchise varies, dependent on the format of store you are opening. Street Front restaurants range from $375,000 to $475,000, while our Food Court locations cost between $250,000 to $300,000.
Q: How do I finance my investment?
Edo Japan requires that at least 50% of the investment be from cash and 50% from financing. All Canadian Chartered Banks offer financing.
Q. Can I choose the location or does Edo Japan choose it for me?
Our team of professionals has developed strong relationships with landlords, developers and brokers across western Canada. Edo Japan secures the location on behalf of the potential Franchisee, and then matches franchisee candidates to specific locations.
Q. Do I have to construct the store myself?
Edo Japan manages the project on your behalf. We prefer that our franchisees spend all of their time investing in training and recruitment to be ready for opening day! Edo Japan’s goal is to secure the best possible price, quality workmanship and construction schedule available for your new restaurant.
Q. How long does it take to open an Edo Japan Franchise?
The range of time from initial inquiry to opening a store can be 6 to 12 months, depending on the market and availability of locations. Actual construction takes 10 to 14 weeks.
Q. What are the fees of an Edo Japan franchise?
The Edo Japan Franchise Fee is $35,000.00. 6% of your gross monthly sales are payable as a royalty fee and 3% are payable as an Advertising and promotions fee.
